WHAT IS AHIMI®?

Ahimi® (which means “the spirit of Ahi”) is a plant-based alternative to raw tuna. It provides the experience of eating tuna without any of the stress on the oceans.

WHAT'S AHIMI MADE OF?

Ahimi is made from 5 simple ingredients - fresh tomatoes, non-GMO soy sauce, filtered water, sugar and sesame oil.

IS AHIMI GLUTEN FREE AND/OR VEGAN?

Ahimi is 100% plant-based (vegan)! No fishy business here! However, we do use soy sauce, which is not gluten free. We are currently switching production to gluten free. Stay tuned through our email list and/or social feeds, and we’ll let you know when the changeover is complete.

IS AHIMI KOSHER?

Yes! Ahimi is Circle K Kosher certified.

WHERE CAN I BUY AHIMI?

We sell to restaurants and supermarket sushi vendors, who use Ahimi in various dishes. Find a restaurant or sushi counter serving Ahimi using our menu locator.

 CAN I BUY AHIMI ON ITS OWN?

At this time, we sell Ahimi exclusively into foodservice, so restaurants and sushi counters can make it into a ready-to-eat dish. We do hope to eventually expand onto retail shelves to make it possible to buy Ahimi as-is, for use in dishes of your own at home.

WHAT DOES “RETAIL SUSHI COUNTER” ON YOUR STORE LOCATOR MEAN?

Our products can be found at the grab-and-go sushi stands in many supermarkets, but they aren’t available on the store shelves to take home and use.

Please ensure that you checked the sushi grab-and-go for an Ahimi California Roll or an Ahimi Nigiri Combo! If the product isn’t in the case, please ask the staff behind the sushi counter.

I WENT TO ANOTHER LOCATION LISTED ON YOUR STORE LOCATOR AND COULDN’T FIND AHIMI…

Argh. Apologies for that. We work very hard to stay on top of where Ahimi ends up on the menu, but sometimes it’s just a bit out of our control. Asking the service staff always helps, as it reinforces to the restaurant that you want to see Ahimi on the menu.
